MYTH #1 — “I’m doing well. I shouldn’t feel this bad.”
Your body is signalling overload: rising inflammation, chronic cortisol, poor sleep, hormonal disruption, decision fatigue, and stored weight from a dysregulated nervous system.
Success isn’t the issue — your physiology is.
MYTH #2 — “I can handle it. I always do.”
High performers compensate until something cracks: health, energy, peace, presence, connection, or joy.
Capacity isn’t the solution. Rebuilding the system is.
MYTH #3 — “I just need a holiday. Or a detox. Or a break.”
If time off worked, it would have by now.
Your system stays stuck in fight-or-flight, even during rest, which is why energy, motivation, mood, and connection don’t recover.
MYTH #4 — “I can think or journal my way out of this.”
This isn’t a mindset problem.
Trauma patterns, emotional responses, and survival states live in the body, not the thoughts.
Insight doesn’t create change if physiology stays dysregulated.
MYTH #5 — “My relationship problems are separate from my burnout.”
A dysregulated nervous system affects intimacy, communication, attraction, and emotional safety.
Most “relationship problems” are actually physiological stress patterns playing out between two people.
